THE DETAILS

Game release date editorial policy

Every useful release record should tell you what is known, how it is known and what still needs checking.

Sources we use

Release facts come from developer and publisher websites, official announcements and official store listings. Search results, forums and other calendars can help discover a lead, but they do not replace a source for the published date or platform claim.

Each game page links to the source records used. Source checked dates describe when the evidence was reviewed. Last updated dates describe a change to the page or its record. Rebuilding the site alone does not establish that a publisher announcement has been checked again.

Date precision

An exact calendar day is displayed only when the evidence supports it. Month and year windows remain month and year windows. “Coming soon,” conflicting or unspecified dates stay unconfirmed. We do not silently substitute December 31 for a year, the first day of a month for a window, or a retailer placeholder for an announcement.

A date does not establish an unlock time. Region, edition, platform, early access and subscription availability require their own evidence. When sources conflict, we explain the unresolved issue rather than choosing the more convenient date.

Platform records

We preserve meaningful hardware names, including the distinction between Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and Xbox generations. A platform family filter is a browsing aid. It does not promise that each game runs on every device in that family.

Announcements of cross-play, performance, language support or membership-library availability are separate facts. We do not infer them from a store listing or publisher relationship.

Descriptions and artwork

AI-assisted research and drafting support the site’s original descriptions and evidence records. An AI suggestion is not a source for a release fact. Editorial descriptions summarize the official concept in original language. We do not claim hands-on review experience, assign invented scores, reproduce full store copy or publish unsupported recommendations. GameReleaseHub Editorial is a collective site byline.

The geometric artwork on release cards is original site artwork. It is labeled as editorial artwork and does not depict game footage. Game names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Updates and corrections

Records are a sourced snapshot and dates may change after the displayed source check. Automated monitoring may flag a source for review, but a flag is not itself a verified new release date. We do not promise that every source is rechecked every day.

When an official update establishes a changed date, we update the record and preserve the supported earlier date in a visible history. We do not claim a delay history without evidence. To report a problem, send the game name and an official source URL. We review the evidence and explain unresolved claims where necessary.

Commercial independence

There are currently no advertisements, affiliate links or paid placement on the site. Official store links are ordinary references. Any future monetization will be clearly disclosed and will not turn paid claims into editorial facts.

Browse the game directory to inspect the source evidence or read about the site for the editorial identity and purpose.
